SUMMARY:3d mirror symmetry and quantum K-theory
DESCRIPTION:\nIPMU Postdoc Colloquium Series\n\n\n\nSpeaker:Zijun Zhou (Kavli IPMU)Title:3d mirror symmetry and quantum K-theory (Postdoc Colloquium)Date (JST):Fri, Sep 17, 2021, 11:30 – 12:00Place:ZoomAbstract:3d mirror symmetry is the physical phenomenon that certain pairs of 3d N=4 SUSY gauge theories are equivalent to each other, where interesting moduli spaces of vacua, called Higgs branches and Coulomb branches, are exchanged under duality. Higgs and Coulomb branches motivates interesting mathematical objects – holomorphic symplectic quotients and quantized Coulomb branch algebras. A K-theoretic enumerative invariant, called vertex function, can be defined from both Higgs and Coulomb branches, and is expected to behave well under 3d mirror symmetry. In this talk, I will discuss this duality and related conjectures from the aspect of vertex functions, and some associated geometric invariants, such as q-difference equations and quantum K-rings.Contact:https://ipmu.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_VTTp-bOdQY6GHCMDQrFVIg ( https://ipmu.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_VTTp-bOdQY6GHCMDQrFVIg )Remarks:IPMU Postdoc Colloquium SeriesRegistration necessary from here: https://ipmu.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_VTTp-bOdQY6GHCMDQrFVIg\n
